FAQS

Online therapy offers the same level of care and connection as in-person sessions, with the convenience of meeting from wherever you are in California. I use a secure, HIPAA-compliant video conferencing platform to protect your privacy.
Before our first session, you’ll receive a link to join from your computer, tablet, or phone. Simply find a quiet, private space, click the link at your scheduled time, and we’ll meet face-to-face virtually. If you prefer, we can also do sessions over the phone.
-
Therapy sessions are $180 for a standard 50-minute session. If you have out-of-network benefits, I can provide a superbill for you to submit to your insurance for possible reimbursement.
-
Yes - through Headway, I am able to accept Aetna, Anthem PPO, United Healthcare, and Optum plans in California. If you have a different insurance provider, we can explore using your out-of-network benefits.
-
Your first session is really about getting to know you. We’ll talk about what brought you to therapy, what challenges you’ve been facing, and what you’d like to get out of our work together. There’s no pressure to share everything at once - I’ll guide the conversation at a pace that feels comfortable for you. You’ll also have the chance to ask me questions about the process so you feel informed and supported. By the end of the session, we’ll have a clearer sense of your goals and a plan for moving forward together.
-
Everyone’s journey is unique. Some clients see meaningful progress in as few as 6–12 sessions, while others choose to continue longer for deeper growth and lasting change.
Together, we’ll discuss your goals, check in regularly on your progress, and adjust the pace so therapy feels supportive and effective for you.
